When you don’t know what you believe, everything becomes an argument. Everything is debatable. But when you stand for something, decisions are obvious.
This is especially important for new businesses because it helps defines the company culture. And company culture drives decisions and process formalization.
This also relates to being opinionated about your business. When you are opinionated you stand out and differentiate yourself from your competitors.
This is also a good way to know if you have any value in the existing market. If you don’t know where to draw a line then you probably don’t have much value to bring to the market that others aren’t already doing.
